Bianca from our online team has sewn a customised hooded Lucie Robe using cosy Liberty Southfield Sweatshirting in the print Tumbling Wilde/B. How cool is it?! Check out the customisation details and photos below.



"I love the pattern of this beautiful Liberty sweatshirting. It looks like leaves in the jungle at night, which I thought was perfect for a robe I will wear mostly in the evenings at home. The fabric is also so cosy and I love that it is 100% cotton. It will be much more breathable than my old synthetic robe which is long overdue for replacement!"




Project Notes

Bianca used 3m of Liberty Southfield Sweatshirting - Tumbling Wilde/B and 0.6m of Tana Lawn in the same print. She also added 10m of Liberty Bias Binding - Adam Sapphire/B for interior seam finishing. Bianca picked our Make by TFS Lucie Robe pattern in a size A, and loves the fit and length. Bianca is an advanced sewist with a talent for customising patterns, and she cleverly added the hood from our Cloud Sweatshirt pattern. This was a super easy addition as I just sandwiched it between the collar and back pieces. I lined the hood with the matching Tana Lawn, so it is not too heavy. I also bound all the seams with a coordinating Liberty Bias Binding. This will help the robe to last a super long time, and I think it looks great!




"A robe that doesn't wrap generously is a pet peeve of mine, so this is excellent! I will LIVE in this robe at home, and to be honest I wouldn't put it past me to wear it to the supermarket. The robe also fits my partner, and I definitely think he will be stealing it frequently as he is becoming a big Liberty fan!"
